Job description

We're seeking a patient, creative, and dedicated teacher to support a young person with complex needs in a post-16 setting. This is a unique opportunity to combine academic learning with life skills development and make a real difference.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging lessons in maths, literacy and practical skills tailored to the student's abilities.
  • Support independence and life skills, including personal care and self-care routines, preparing simple food and drinks safely, social skills such as ordering in cafés, asking for help, and navigating familiar community spaces.
  • Plan physical and sensory activities to help the student stay regulated and engaged.
  • Provide focused, patient support, responding to questions and reassurance needs throughout the day.
Qualifications
  • Qualified teacher with SEN or post-16 experience.
