Qualifications

  • Essential to have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Experience working within EYFS and/or with SEN pupils is necessary.
  • Strong knowledge of the curriculum and inclusive teaching strategies required.

Location: Gateshead
Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:30am-3:30pm
Job Type: January 2026 - Ongoing
Salary: £130-£170, dependent on experience

About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated SEN Teacher to join a supportive SEN setting on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will plan and deliver engaging lessons, supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) to achieve their full potential.

Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver creative lessons
  • Support children with additional needs in accordance with individual learning plans and EHCPs
  • Work closely with teaching assistants, parents, and external agencies
  • Ensure a safe, stimulating, and nurturing learning environment
  • Maintain accurate records and uphold safeguarding standards
Qualifications
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - essential
  • Experience working within EYFS and/or with SEN pupils
  • Strong knowledge of the curriculum and inclusive teaching strategies
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Warm, caring, and patient approach
