Job summary

Reading Borough Council is seeking an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant for The Ridgeway Primary School in Reading to support a child in Year 3. The role is fixed-term for six months, term-time only, 32.5 hours per week, with start ASAP.

The successful candidate will work closely with teaching staff to deliver targeted SEN support, maintain a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment, and contribute to pupil progress and wellbeing. Interview dates will be confirmed.

Qualifications

• Experience with SEN children in a primary school setting.
• Patient and self-motivated to support a child in Year 3.
• Commitment to inclusive education and safeguarding.

Responsibilities

• Support a child in Year 3 with SEN needs in a primary classroom.
• Deliver targeted SEN activities in collaboration with the teacher.
