SEN Teaching Assistant – Putney | Full‑Time | Long‑Term Role | Competitive Daily Rate

Role
  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with a range of SEN needs, including Autism, ADHD and complex learning difficulties.
  • Assist teachers in creating engaging, differentiated learning activities tailored to individual needs.
  • Promote emotional wellbeing and positive behaviour through encouragement, structure and empathy.
  • Support the social and educational development of students, helping them achieve both academic and personal goals.
  • Collaborate closely with teachers, therapists and parents to ensure each pupil receives the right level of care and support.
Ideal Candidate
  • Has previous experience working in an SEN school in the UK (essential).
  • Demonstrates patience, empathy and a genuine passion for supporting young people with additional needs.
  • Can build strong, positive relationships with pupils and colleagues alike.
  • Holds relevant SEN training or experience – Team Teach and Makaton training are desirable but not essential.
  • Is reliable, proactive and committed to fostering an inclusive learning environment.
