Uniform Education is seeking a dedicated SEN Support Worker in Uxbridge to support students aged 11–19 with SLD, PMLD, ASD and complex needs. The role involves personal care, communication support and daily routines in a specialist secondary setting.

You will work with teachers and therapists to help students build confidence, independence and essential life skills while following individual care plans and safeguarding procedures. DBS Update Service is required.

Competenze

• Previous experience in support work, healthcare, complex care or SEN.
• Experience supporting individuals with learning disabilities or additional needs.
• Comfortable providing personal care.
• Confidence supporting individuals with physical disabilities.
• Patient, compassionate and attentive approach.
• Ability to follow individual care plans and safeguarding procedures.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service.
• Right to Work in the UK.

Mansioni

• Provide 1:1 and small-group support to students with SLD, PMLD and ASD.
• Support young people with physical disabilities and complex care needs.
• Assist with personal care, feeding and daily routines.
• Support mobility, positioning, hoisting and moving and handling.
• Follow individual care plans, healthcare plans and EHCP targets.
• Assist with sensory-based learning and therapeutic activities.
• Support students using non-verbal and alternative communication methods.
• Encourage independence, emotional wellbeing and life skills development.
• Work closely with teachers, physiotherapists, occupational therapists and other professionals.
