Job summary

Academics are recruiting a SEN Specialist Alternative Provision Teacher in the Stroud area to start ASAP. You will deliver high quality, personalised teaching to learners with SEND in a nurturing, inclusive environment, adapting methods to meet individual needs.

The role is term time only, with daily rate £105–£185, 8:00am–3:30pm, Monday to Friday. QTS is required and an enhanced DBS check (or willingness to apply).

Qualifications

• QTS status required for the role.
• Experience with SEN or mainstream teaching is desirable.
• Enhanced DBS check or willingness to apply for one.

Responsibilities

• Create a safe, encouraging environment to support learners.
• Plan and deliver engaging lessons for SEN learners.
• Adapt teaching methods and resources to meet individual needs.
• Monitor pupil progress and provide regular feedback to support outcomes.
• Ensure safeguarding policies are followed at all times.
• Set learning goals and track progress toward them.

SEN Specialist Alternative Provision Teacher

Academics are recruiting a SEN Specialist Alternative Provision Teacher in the Stroud area to start as soon as possible!

We are looking for an SEN Specialist Teacher (QTS) who is passionate about supporting children and young people with special educational needs. You will provide high quality, personalised teaching in a nurturing and inclusive enviroment, adapting your approach to meet the individual needs of each learner.

Role Details:

• Location: Stroud,Gloucestershire
• Salary: £105 - £185 per day (DOE)
• Hours: Monday - Friday (8:00am - 3:30pm)
• Start: ASAP
• Contract: Term Time only

Key Responsibilities:

• Creating a safe and encouraging environment to help learners thrive.
• Plan and deliver engaging lessons for SEN learners.
• Adapt teaching methods and resources to meet learners needs.
• Support with monitoring achievements and helping learners feel supported to reach their full potential.
• Ensuring safeguarding policies are followed at all times.
• Set appropriate learning goals and targets.
• Promote independence, confidence, communication and social development.
• Maintain accurate records and provide regular feedback on pupil progress.

Key Qualities we are seeking:

• A caring, patient, and adaptable approach.
• A genuine passion for helping children with SEN succeed.
• Experience working within a teaching role (SEN or non)
• QTS status.
• An enhanced DBS check (Or willingness to apply for one).
