Job summary

Targeted Provision Ltd seeks dedicated SEND tutors and teachers in the UK to support children with SEND and SEMH needs. Roles are flexible and available as self-employed positions, with in-person, hybrid, and remote teaching options.

You will deliver Maths, English, or Science tuition to learners from KS1 to KS5, plan lessons, report progress, and work closely with local authorities and schools to create a trauma-informed, supportive learning environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years teaching experience, ideally with SEND/SEMH/MLD/SLD/PMLD.
• Experience teaching English, Maths or Science.
• QTS or QTLS qualification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide in person, online/remote, and hybrid Maths, English, or Science tuition.
• Plan and report lessons and provide regular feedback on student progress.
• Support pupils from KS1 to KS5 with trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring.
• Collaborate with local authorities and schools to ensure effective learning.

SEND Tutor and Teacher role requirements:

• Experience: 2+ years teaching experience, ideally working with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, and/or PMLD in a holistic and trauma-informed way
• Subjects: Familiarity teaching English, Maths, and/or Science
• Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS / QTLS)
• Compliance: Enhanced DBS (we can facilitate this if needed) and 2+ professional references
• Location: You must be based in the UK with the right to work in the UK, even for remote / online jobs
• Safeguarding: Knowledge of safeguarding and creating a safe learning environment

The SEND Tutor and Teacher role and responsibilities:

• Provide in person, online / remote, and hybridMaths, English, or Science tuition to children, teenagers, and young people with SEMH and SEND needs, including MLD, SLD, PMLD, and other Additional Educational Needs
• Support pupils and students, ranging from KS1 - KS5 (as appropriate for your skills), referred by local authorities and schools by planning and delivering flexible, trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring
• Plan and report for lessons and provide regular feedback on student progress
• We are on a mission to raise the standard of education provided to young people with SEND (Special Education Needs and Disabilities), as well as other needs such as SEMH needs (Social, Emotional and Mental Health). We are increasingly supporting children and young people with MLD (Moderate Learning Difficulties), SLD (Severe Learning Difficulties), and PMLD (Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties).
