Job summary

Targeted Provision Ltd is recruiting SEND Tutor/Teacher roles across the UK, offering in-person, hybrid and remote tutoring with flexible hours to support disengaged and vulnerable learners.

Applicants should have 2+ years teaching experience, QTS/QTLS, Enhanced DBS, and the ability to teach Maths, English or Science in a trauma-informed way. Positions are self-employed with ongoing opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience: 2+ years teaching experience, ideally working with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, and/or PMLD in a holistic and trauma-informed way.
• Qualifications: QTS/QTLS or equivalent credential.
• Compliance: Enhanced DBS and 2+ professional references.
• Location: Based in the UK with right to work in the UK (remote/online ok).
• Safeguarding: Knowledge of safeguarding and creating a safe learning environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide in person, online/remote, and hybrid Maths, English, or Science tuition to children and young people with SEND and SEMH needs.
• Support pupils (KS1–KS5) referred by local authorities and schools through flexible, trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring.
• Plan and report lessons with regular progress feedback.

SEND Tutor and Teacher role requirements:

• Experience: 2+ years teaching experience, ideally working with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, and/or PMLD in a holistic and trauma-informed way
• Subjects: Familiarity teaching English, Maths, and/or Science
• Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS)
• Compliance: Enhanced DBS (we can facilitate this if needed) and 2+ professional references
• Location: You must be based in the UK with the right to work in the UK, even for remote/online jobs
• Safeguarding: Knowledge of safeguarding and creating a safe learning environment

The SEND Tutor and Teacher role and responsibilities:

• Provide in person, online/remote, and hybrid Maths, English, or Science tuition to children, teenagers, and young people with SEMH and SEND needs, including MLD, SLD, PMLD, and other Additional Educational Needs
• Support pupils and students, ranging from KS1 - KS5 (as appropriate for your skills), referred by local authorities and schools by planning and delivering flexible, trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring
• Plan and report for lessons and provide regular feedback on student progress
• We are on a mission to raise the standard of education provided to young people with SEND (Special Education Needs and Disabilities), as well as other needs such as SEMH needs (Social, Emotional and Mental Health). We are increasingly supporting children and young people with MLD (Moderate Learning Difficulties), SLD (Severe Learning Difficulties), and PMLD (Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties).
