Lotus Recruitment is recruiting an SEN Teaching Assistant for a school in Greenwich, supporting pupils with special education needs. We're looking for someone who takes time to understand the child behind the behaviour and can adapt their approach when something isn't working.

What will your day involve?

• Working alongside the class teacher and wider support team, you'll help pupils access learning, navigate classroom routines and develop their independence. Your responsibilities will include:
• Providing [one-to-one/small-group/classroom] support tailored to pupils' needs.
• Breaking instructions and activities into manageable steps.
• Using agreed communication resources and visual prompts where appropriate.
• Recognising when a pupil needs reassurance, a different approach or time to regulate.
• Following individual support plans and sharing observations with the teaching team.

Who are we looking for?

Someone who has experience working with children or young people, ideally including those with special educational needs.
