Qualifications

• QTS or equivalent required.
• Experience teaching pupils with SEN in a primary, secondary, or specialist setting.
• Strong knowledge of Science.
• Excellent communication skills, patience and adaptability.
• Commitment to inclusive education and helping pupils achieve their best.
• Enhanced DBS on Update Service or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging Science lessons tailored to the needs of pupils with SEN.
• Differentiate learning activities for a range of abilities and additional needs.
• Collaborate with teaching assistants, the SENCO, and other professionals to support pupil progress.
• Monitor, assess, and record student achievement, adapting teaching strategies as required.
• Promote positive behaviour and build supportive relationships with pupils.
• Maintain a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment.
