We are looking for a committed and enthusiastic SEN Science Teacher to join a specialist setting in Northampton. This role is ideal for teachers, instructors or aspiring educators who are passionate about supporting pupils with additional needs in a structured, nurturing environment.

About the School

This specialist provision supports young people who benefit from smaller class sizes, personalised learning and a therapeutic, relationship-based approach. The school prioritises emotional wellbeing, consistency and positive behaviour strategies, creating a calm and supportive environment where students can re-engage with learning. The Role
  • Deliver engaging, practical and accessible Science sessions
  • Support small groups of learners with a range of additional needs
  • Build positive, trusting relationships to encourage progress and confidence
  • Follow a structured curriculum – no planning or marking required
  • Work closely with support staff and senior leaders to maintain a positive and purposeful classroom

  • Experience working with SEN pupils or in alternative provisions is highly desirable
