Esland is opening a new SEN school in Doncaster and seeks a qualified Maths/SEN Science Teacher to lead learning for pupils aged 7–18 with SEND/SEMH needs. The role offers a permanent, full-time position with core hours 8:30am–4:30pm, Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

  • Qualified Teacher status (QTS) and eligibility to teach in the UK.
  • Strong knowledge of science curricula across multiple key stages.
  • Proven experience delivering education to students with SEND/SEMH.
  • Experience supporting students with challenging behaviours and inclusion.
  • Ability to plan, monitor progress and evaluate learning outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to pupil learning and wellbeing in a brand-new SEN setting.

Hours: full time (core hours 8:30am to 4:30pm, Monday to Friday)

We are excited to announce that Esland will be opening a new SEN school in Doncaster in September 2026. This is an exciting and fantastic opportunity to be part of a new, specialist provision supporting vulnerable young people aged 7 to 18 years who have SEND and SEMH needs.

Pupils are encouraged to cover a range of qualifications ranging from Entry Level Certificates, through Functional Skills to GCSE.

What we need from you
  • Qualified Teacher status
  • Sound curriculum knowledge surrounding science (ideally across several key stages)
  • Proven experience of working with specialist education for young people
  • Proven experience of working with young people that challenge
  • A committed, conscientious and passionate approach to inclusion
  • The ability to plan, evaluate and monitor learning and progress
  • The ability to build good relationships with young people and staff members alike
  • Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and use time effectively
  • A positive attitude to hard work and challenging situations
