Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking a confident Cover Supervisor to support pupils with a range of SEN needs in a specialist school in the Shirebrook/Mansfield area. The role offers a daily rate of 95–130 GBP and is arranged as full-time, term-time hours.

You will supervise classes, deliver pre-planned activities, support emotional regulation and behaviour, and work with teachers to maintain continuity of learning for pupils with diverse needs.

Qualifications

• Experience in education or youth work is essential.
• Ability to adapt approach for pupils with SEN and diverse needs.
• Strong behaviour management and clear communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise classes and deliver pre-planned learning activities.
• Keep pupils engaged, motivated and focused on learning.
• Promote positive behaviour and maintain a supportive classroom environment.
• Adapt approaches to meet individual learning and communication needs.
• Build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
• Support pupils with emotional regulation and day-to-day challenges.
• Work with teachers and support staff to ensure continuity of learning.
