Leader Group is delighted to be partnering with a highly respected SEMH education provider to recruit a dedicated and inspiring PSHE Teacher for their specialist school in Scunthorpe.

About the Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic, empathetic and dynamic PSHE Teacher who can deliver impactful, engaging lessons that help pupils develop essential life skills, emotional understanding and personal resilience.

You will be working with students who present with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, trauma-related barriers, attachment difficulties and low self-esteem.

As part of a cohesive and nurturing multidisciplinary team, your responsibilities will include:

  • Planning and delivering creative, accessible PSHE lessons across Key Stages, tailored to individual emotional and educational needs.
  • Supporting pupils in developing confidence, emotional literacy, healthy relationships and personal awareness.
  • Using trauma-informed, relationship-based approaches to reduce anxiety and build trust.
  • Providing clear, supportive feedback to encourage personal growth and celebrate progress.
  • Collaborating closely with therapists, pastoral staff and behaviour specialists to ensure a holistic, therapeutic approach for every learner.
Ideal Candidate

We re looking for someone who is:

  • Qualified holding QTS or QTLS (essential).
  • Experienced in SEMH, SEN or alternative provision settings (desirable).
  • Passionate about empowering vulnerable young people and supporting their personal development.
  • Patient, empathetic and resilient, with a commitment to trauma-informed practice.
  • A strong communicator, able to build positive, dependable relationships with pupils.
  • Collaborative, with a proactive approach to contributing to a supportive school culture.
