Job summary

Remedy Education is seeking an Outreach SEN Tutor to support children and young people in Thurrock with one-to-one tuition. This is a part-time role delivering 15 hours per week per student, at £30–£35 per hour, with flexible outreach placements.

The ideal candidate will have QTS or relevant teaching experience, SEN knowledge, and a patient, nurturing approach. DBS checks are required or commitment to obtain one; strong communication and organisation are essential to track progress and build

Location: Thurrock

Position: Outreach Tutor (Special Educational Needs)

Contract Type: 15 hours per week per student.

Salary: 30/35 per hour

We are looking for dedicated and experienced SEN Tutors to provide one-to-one outreach tuition to children and young people in Thurrock.

This is an excellent opportunity for a tutor who is passionate about supporting young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and helping them build confidence, develop their skills and make positive progress.

We Are Looking For

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), qualified tutor or relevant teaching experience
• Experience working with children or young people with SEN
• Experience with challenging behaviour, SEMH, ASD, ADHD or other additional needs would be advantageous
• A patient, flexible and nurturing approach
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• The ability to work independently and provide engaging one-to-one tuition
• A current DBS or willingness to undergo the appropriate safeguarding checks
