Job summary

GSL Education are partnering with a welcoming Southampton primary school to recruit a dedicated SEN Learning Support Assistant (LSA). The role is full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:30am-3:30pm, supporting pupils with additional needs.

You will work in-class, deliver small-group and 1:1 interventions, and collaborate with the SEN team to help students progress. This is an excellent stepping stone for someone aiming to become a teacher, with ongoing consultant support.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting students with additional needs is desirable.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential.
• Patient, resilient and enthusiastic individuals who enjoy helping students.

Responsibilities

• Support students with additional needs in-class and during interventions.
• Deliver small-group and 1:1 sessions to aid progress.
• Encourage confidence and positive behaviour for learning.
• Collaborate with teaching staff and the SEN team to monitor progress.
