Job summary

Dovetail & Slate Ltd is seeking a Learning Support Assistant to help post-16 learners with additional needs access their programmes and build confidence. You will work within a supportive team to create an inclusive learning environment and adapt support to individual needs.

The role is term-time only (44 weeks) with specific hours, focusing on learners with EHCPs and a calm, patient approach. Prior SEN training is valued, and GCSEs in Maths/English are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years' experience working with post-16 learners.
• Knowledge of Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCP) for post-16 learners.
• GCSE in Maths and English or equivalent.
• NVQ3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning.
• SEN training (ADHD, dyslexia, autism, SEMH).

Responsibilities

• Support post-16 learners to access and engage with their programme.
• Work with learners who have EHCPs to adapt support.
• Help create a calm, inclusive and supportive learning environment.
• Adapt support to diverse social, cultural and physical needs.
