Job summary

Senploy is recruiting an SEN Education Support Worker in Penzance to help children and young people overcome barriers to learning. You will provide individual and small-group support, encourage engagement, and assist with emotional wellbeing and behaviour management, adapting activities to each learner’s needs.

The role involves working closely with teachers to implement personalised support plans and promote confidence.

Qualifications

• Experience in care, youth work, residential support, mental health or SEND can provide valuable skills for specialist education settings.
• Compassionate, dependable and confident in supporting young people with a range of additional needs.
• A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle are often required for SEN roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and small-group learning support.
• Encourage engagement in lessons and activities.
• Support emotional wellbeing and positive behaviour.
• Help pupils develop communication and social skills.
• Adapt learning activities to individual needs.
• Promote confidence and independence.
