Job summary

Veritas Education Recruitment is seeking a SEN Learning Support Assistant to work in Southeast London schools. The role is full-time, term-time, Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM, with an ASAP start. Salary is paid per day (£ Apply online only per day).

The successful candidate will support students with SEN and assist teachers to create an inclusive learning environment. Candidates should have experience with SEN, a solid understanding of learning difficulties, and strong communication

Qualifications

• Experience supporting students with SEN.
• Strong understanding of SEN and learning difficulties gained through experience or study.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to build positive relationships with students.
• Patient, empathetic, and nurturing approach.
• Able to work independently and as part of a wider school team.
• A relevant degree and SEN-related training are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with SEN.
• Work proactively to help students meet their academic goals.
• Encourage and motivate students to actively engage in their learning.
• Assist in creating a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment.
• Support the teacher in general learning and student development.
