Job summary

Edgbarrow School in Crowthorne, Berkshire seeks a Learning Support Assistant to provide in-class support to students under the SENCO and teaching staff. The role is fixed-term for one year and focuses on helping learners develop to reach their full potential, with an emphasis on numeracy and literacy skills.

Experience with or caring for 11–18-year-olds is valuable. A background in English curriculum work and the DFE Teacher Assistant Induction would be advantageous.

Qualifications

• Experience and/or qualification in the English curriculum would be an advantage.
• Must have good numeracy and literacy skills and experience with or caring for children aged 11–18.
• Completion of the DFE Teacher Assistant Induction programme would also be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Provide general support to our SENCO for a fixed term of one year.
• In-class support to individual (or groups of) students under the direction of the class teacher.
