Job summary

A teaching support agency is seeking a dedicated SEN Learning Support Assistant to support students with Special Educational Needs in Hillingdon. Qualifications

SEN Learning Support Assistant -Hillingdon

Location: Hillingdon
Start Date: Immediate start
Contract: Full-time, Long-term (term time only)
Salary: .00 per day (depending on experience)

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join a 3-form entry vibrant and inclusive school in Hillingdon. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference to the lives of young people, supporting students with a range of Special Educational Needs including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and MLD.

The Role:
  • Provide 1:1 and small group support for students with SEN.
  • Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to deliver tailored interventions.
  • Assist with the implementation of Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs).
  • Promote independence, confidence, and emotional well-being in pupils.
  • Support with behaviour management and encourage positive engagement in learning.
The Ideal Candidate Will:
  • Have previous experience working with SEN students (school, childcare, or youth work experience considered).
  • Be patient, empathetic, and adaptable to different learning needs.
  • Have strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships.
  • Hold a valid Enhanced DBS (or be willing to apply for one).
  • Be committed to supporting the academic and personal development of all pupils.
