SEN HLTA (Higher Level Teaching Assistant)
Location: Sidcup
Salary: Competitive, based on experience

Are you passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs? Academics is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN HLTA to join a supportive school in Sidcup. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to make a real difference in the lives of children with diverse learning needs.

Key Responsibilities:

* Support the class teacher in delivering high-quality education to children with special educational needs.
* Assist in planning and implementing personalised learning plans for students.
* Provide support in small group and one-on-one settings, adapting activities to meet individual needs.
* Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to students and teachers.
* Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment, promoting independence and confidence among students.
* Collaborate with other staff members, parents, and external specialists to ensure the best outcomes for students.

Requirements:

* Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 4 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent) or experience as an SEN HLTA.
* Experience working with children with special educational needs, preferably in a school setting.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with students and staff.
* A proactive and compassionate approach to supporting learning.
* Knowledge of various SEN strategies and interventions is desirable.
