SEN Cover Supervisor

Area: Salford, Manchester

Start Date: ASAP / November 2025

Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: Competitive £110-£150 per day (dependent on experience and responsibilities)

Working hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30/4pm

About the school: We’re working with a brilliant specialist school that supports students aged 2-16 with a range of complex learning needs, autism, and physical or sensory impairments. The team is warm, welcoming, and focused on creating a safe, inclusive space where students can truly thrive.

Are you confident managing a classroom and passionate about supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? We’re looking for a committed SEN Cover Supervisor to join a supportive specialist school setting where every child is given the opportunity to thrive.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver pre-set work across a range of subjects
  • Maintain a calm and inclusive learning environment
  • Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
  • Work closely with SEN teachers and support staff to ensure learners feel safe, engaged, and understood
What we're looking for
  • Experience working in SEND or specialist school settings
  • Confidence in managing a classroom and supporting students with EHCPs
  • A calm, adaptable approach with strong behaviour management skills
  • An understanding of supporting pupils with autism, complex needs, or physical disabilities
  • A passion for inclusive education and promoting student independence
To be eligible
  • Hold Right to Work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service OR be willing to process a new application
  • Provide two professional child related references
