Overview

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of students with complex needs? Our secondary schools in Braintree are seeking a dedicated and versatile SEN - Complex Needs LSA to join our team starting immediately.

As an SEN - Complex Needs LSA, you will play a critical role in supporting students with a range of special educational needs, ensuring they have access to a tailored and inclusive education. Your daily responsibilities will include working closely with teachers to develop and implement individualised education plans, providing one-on‑one and small‑group support, and fostering a positive learning environment.

We are looking for a SEN - Complex Needs LSA who has experience in working with students with complex needs, excellent communication skills, and the ability to adapt to different learning styles and requirements. The ideal candidate will be patient, empathetic, and committed to helping each student achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide personalised support to students with complex needs.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other staff to develop and implement individual education plans.
  • Assist in the preparation and adaptation of learning materials.
  • Monitor and report on student progress.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Previous experience as an SEN - Complex Needs LSA or in a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Relevant qualifications or training in special education are desirable.
