Job summary

Opus People Solutions Ltd is seeking a dedicated SEN Case Officer to join our Statutory Assessment Team on behalf of client. This remote role offers the chance to help children and young people with SEND by progressing statutory assessments and drafting EHCPs.

You will liaise with families, schools and professionals to ensure high-quality, person-centred plans while meeting statutory timelines. Remote working with provided equipment is available to support your work.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in SEN casework and statutory processes.
  • Strong understanding of SEND Code of Practice and EHCP legislation.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to manage a complex caseload independently.

Role Overview
  • Work through the statutory assessment backlog.
  • Draft Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
  • Manage the associated casework in line with statutory timelines and best practice.
  • Liaise with families, schools, and professionals to ensure high-quality, person-centred plans.
What We're Looking For
  • Proven experience in SEN casework and statutory processes.
  • Strong understanding of SEND Code of Practice and EHCP legislation.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to manage a complex caseload independently and efficiently.
