A leading defense contractor in Wareham is seeking a Semi-Skilled Operative to maintain and support critical defense vehicles. In this role, you will strip, clean, repaint, and overhaul vehicles while ensuring compliance with safety standards. As a Semi‑Skilled Operative, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You’ll be part of our Land sector team, supporting the workshop with essential tasks that keep our operations running. This is an exciting opportunity to strip, clean, repaint and overhaul vehicles and associated sub‑assemblies, contributing to projects that make a real difference to national security and public infrastructure.
Please note that this position involves manual work. This could include lifting, bending, using tools, or standing for extended periods of time.
The role is based onsite at Bovington, and the set working times are 37 hours per week, Monday to Thursday.

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
