Autograph Recruitment Ltd are partnering with a well-established accountancy and business advisory practice to recruit a Semi Senior Tax for their Cheltenham-based Private Client Tax team.

You will work across a varied portfolio delivering high-quality personal tax compliance services, with support for professional qualification development. The role offers a collaborative, ambitious environment and exposure to private client work, including individuals and trusts.

Qualifications

• At least 12 months' UK personal tax experience (preferred in accountancy).
• Strong understanding of personal tax compliance and Self Assessment.
• Attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
• Self-motivated with a proactive, can-do attitude.
• Confident working independently while also being a strong team player.
• Willingness to study towards professional qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Assist with a portfolio of personal tax clients and prepare Self Assessment tax returns.
• Support tax compliance work for individuals and trusts.
• Handle client queries with a professional, responsive service.
• Liaise with HMRC on relevant tax matters.
• Collaborate with senior colleagues to meet deadlines and client requirements.
• Keep up to date with UK tax legislation and develop technical knowledge.
• Manage workload effectively in a fast-paced environment.

The Role

Our client is looking to appoint a Private Client Tax professional to join their well-established tax team, working across a varied portfolio and delivering high-quality personal tax compliance services.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with relevant personal tax experience who is looking to develop their career within a supportive, ambitious and collaborative practice. The role offers exposure to a broad range of private client work, with professional qualification support available for the right individual.

Key responsibilities include:

• Assisting with a portfolio of personal tax clients and preparing Self Assessment tax returns
• Supporting tax compliance work for individuals and trusts
• Assisting with client queries and providing a professional, responsive service

• Working closely with senior colleagues to ensure deadlines and client requirements are met
