Job summary

ProTalent is seeking an Accounts Semi-Senior to join the Bexhill team. You will prepare accounts and tax returns for sole traders and owner‑managed companies, handle bookkeeping, and be the point of contact for client queries.

You'll report to a Senior Manager, with a clear route to Assistant Manager for those who want it. The role offers flexible patterns and ongoing study support within a supportive local firm.

Qualifications

• AAT qualification or ACCA/ICAEW equivalent.
• Minimum three years in an accountancy practice.
• Experience with accounts prep and personal/corporate tax returns.
• Confident with QuickBooks and Xero; IRIS a bonus.
• Strong Excel skills with formulas and data analysis.
• Comfortable speaking to clients directly and resolving queries.

Accounts Semi-Senior / Assistant Manager

Bexhill, East Sussex | £30,000+ depending on experience | Full time, with flexibility considered

A well-established accountancy firm with a network of offices across Sussex and Surrey is looking for an Accounts Semi-Senior to join its Bexhill team.

This is a general practice role with real client contact. You'll prepare accounts and tax returns for sole traders and owner-managed limited companies, handle bookkeeping, and be the person clients come to with their queries. You'll report into a Senior Manager who is invested in bringing people on, and there's a clear route to Assistant Manager for someone who wants it.

What they're looking for

• AAT qualified, or part or fully qualified ACCA or ICAEW
• At least three years in an accountancy practice
• Accounts preparation and personal and corporate tax return experience
• Confident with QuickBooks and Xero. IRIS is a bonus
• Good Excel, including formulas and data analysis
• Comfortable speaking to clients directly and resolving queries yourself
