Semi-Senior Accountant
Ware
£27,000 - £32,000

A forward-thinking accountancy practice just outside Ware is looking to welcome a motivated Semi-Senior Accountant to their close-knit team. Role Responsibilities

• Prepare year-end accounts for a variety of clients, including sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
• Compile working papers and ensure all supporting documentation is accurate and complete
• Assist clients with day-to-day queries relating to accounts and tax matters
• Prepare and submit VAT returns, as well as review bookkeeping records
• Support the preparation of management accounts when required
• Help clients make the switch to digital accounting software and remain compliant with MTD regulations
• Offer occasional assistance with payroll processing tasks

Personal Requirements

• Experience working within an accountancy practice environment
• AAT qualified or part-qualified ACA/ACCA (or equivalent)
• Confident in preparing accounts and VAT returns, with solid bookkeeping knowledge
• Familiar with cloud-based accounting systems such as Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, or IRIS
• Organised, proactive and able to manage your own workload effectively
• A strong communicator who enjoys being part of a team
