Mellis Blue Accountancy Recruitment is helping a respected firm in Watford, Hertfordshire recruit a Semi Senior to support clients with accurate financial records and guidance toward financial goals. The role offers exposure to statutory accounts, tax work, and cloud-based bookkeeping in a friendly, growth‑conscious team.

You will collaborate with senior staff, ensure deadlines are met, and develop Xero expertise in a Gold partner environment while delivering high standards of service to clients

Qualifications

• Experience working in a UK firm of accountants is required.
• Local to Watford to enable on-site work.

Responsibilities

• Prepare statutory accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
• Prepare Corporation Tax computations and returns
• Assist with personal and business tax matters
• Prepare VAT returns and management accounts
• Carry out bookkeeping and account reconciliations using cloud-based accounting software
• Liaise directly with clients and respond to day-to-day queries
• Support senior team members with client assignments and deadlines
• Ensure work is completed accurately and in line with professional standards
• Ensure accuracy and statutory compliance of financial documentation
