About the Role

Connex Education seeks an ambitious SEN tutor for Middlesbrough Local Authority. You will be supporting a student with special educational needs and social, emotional, and mental health challenges.

This role suits educators seeking meaningful work in an engaging environment, supporting vulnerable young people who need specialised academic assistance. The position offers competitive pay while providing essential educational support to students with diverse learning needs. The role will b e Tuesday and Wednesday running alongside a support worker and a child. This will be a Tuesday and Wednesday afternoon.

School/Organisation

The school serves pupils with diverse educational needs and learning difficulties who are performing below their expected age level, including those with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges.

Assignment Details
  • About 15 hours weekly (3 hours dail)
  • 1:1 support for KS3/4 students at central venue
  • Long-term position following outreach curriculum
  • Serves pupils with learning difficulties functioning below age expectations
  • Experience with SEND/SEMH students
  • Based in Middlesbrough or surrounding areas

As a successful Tutor with Connex Education Partnership, you will possess:
  • Hold a QTS Qualification
  • Have experience working with individuals with SEN

  • Be able to immediately start
  • Hold a DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for a DBS through Connex
  • Be able to show proof of work in the UK
