A leading education supply agency is seeking an experienced SEMH Tutor in Hartlepool to provide tuition for students with Special Education Needs. This part-time, temporary position offers competitive hourly rates and the opportunity to make a significant impact on learners' lives. Qualifications

  • Professional Teaching Qualification (QTS / QTLS) required.
  • Experience with young people with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD.
  • Enhanced DBS is necessary, assistance available for obtaining.

Responsibilities

  • Provide face-to-face tuition to students out of mainstream settings.
  • Work 2:1 with students with Special Education Needs.
  • Help build students' confidence and facilitate learning.

SEMH Tutor (Part / Time, Temporary)

Hartlepool

£25 - £30 per hour (salary is depending on experience and/or qualifications)

Start date: November 2025

Overview

The LA are looking for an experienced Teacher to provide face to face tuition to students who are out of a mainstream setting. The venue based in Hartlepool is TBC.

The desired SEMH Tutor will be working 2:1 with students with Special Education Needs and Disabilities (SEND), Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs (SEMH) and ASD.

The SEMH Tutor role is long term to provide consistency for students and work towards breaking down barriers to learning and to give the student the confidence to reach their full potential.

Requirements
  • A professional Teaching Qualification (QTS / QTLS)
  • Experience of working with young people with EHCPs
  • Experience working with young people with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, and / or other Additional Educational Needs
  • A passion for making a difference to the lives of young people.
  • Enhanced DBS (we can help obtain this at cost if needed)
