Simply Education Ltd is seeking a motivated Trainee Teaching Assistant to support 11-16 year olds with SEMH in a specialist education setting. No prior TA experience is required; the role focuses on attitude, patience and a genuine desire to make a difference.

The successful candidate will work with experienced teachers to help pupils engage with learning, build confidence, and develop independence while working within a supportive, structured environment.

Qualifications

• GCSEs Maths and English are essential.
• No prior Teaching Assistant experience required; attitude and willingness to learn matter most.

Responsibilities

• Help pupils engage with their learning and develop positive relationships.
• Support lessons and classroom activities alongside the Class Teacher.
• Assist with creating a safe, caring and engaging learning environment.
• Support pupils with social, emotional and behavioural needs as needed.
• Complete records and documentation under supervision.
