Protocol Education is recruiting an enthusiastic SEMH Teaching Assistant to join a secondary school in North Tyneside. The role suits Psychology, Criminology and Sociology graduates seeking experience in mental health and education.

You will support SEMH needs, provide emotional and behavioural support, and work with teachers and specialist support staff to help students overcome barriers to learning. Weekly pay via PAYE with Thrive Training and CPD opportunities offered.

Qualifications

• Psychology, Criminology and Sociology graduates preferred.
• Experience in mental health or education settings is helpful.
• Calm, patient and empathetic demeanor desired.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to manage behaviour.

Responsibilities

• Support students with SEMH needs.
• Provide emotional and behavioural support.
• Build positive relationships to encourage engagement.
