About the Role:

In this role, you will provide tailored support to students with SEMH needs, working alongside teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral staff to foster a positive learning environment. Your efforts will help pupils manage their emotions, build resilience, and engage fully with the curriculum.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver one-to-one and group support to children with SEMH needs.
• Help pupils develop coping strategies to regulate behaviour and emotions.
• Collaborate with teaching staff and external professionals to personalise learning.
• Support classroom management by promoting positive behaviour.
• Build trusting relationships that encourage pupil confidence and self-esteem.
• Maintain records of progress and contribute to meetings about pupil welfare.

Job Requirements:

• Experience working with children with SEMH or related needs.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• A calm, patient, and empathetic approach.
• Understanding of safeguarding and child protection protocols.
• Relevant qualifications in education or support work are desirable but not essential.
• Have anupdated CV(covering thelast ten years barring any unexplained gaps) andan enhanced DBSregistered to theUpdate Service(or be willing to apply for one).
