Job summary

A specialist education recruitment agency is seeking a dedicated SEMH Teaching Assistant in Salisbury. If so, we have an excellent opportunity for an SEMH Teaching Assistant to join a specialist school in Salisbury and make a meaningful impact every day!

The Role:

You’ll play a key part in helping classroom teachers provide exceptional support to students between the ages of 6-18 years old. The students at this school have primary diagnoses / additional needs of the following:

  • Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) difficulties
  • Trauma and Attachment Difficulties
  • Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
  • Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
  • Complex Backgrounds

This provision offers a highly personalized curriculum that blends academic learning with therapeutic support to help students re-engage with education and build resilience.

Facilities include outdoor learning opportunities, vocational training, and spaces dedicated to wellbeing and therapy. The approach is trauma-informed, aiming to create a safe, nurturing environment where pupils can develop confidence, independence, and life skills.
