Exciting Temp-to-Perm Teaching Opportunity – Make a Real Difference Every Day

Are you a passionate and creative teacher looking for a rewarding role that could lead to a permanent position? We’re offering a unique temp-to-perm opportunity for an educator who thrives in a non-traditional, nurturing environment supporting children with profound autism and severe learning difficulties.

This role is based in a residential setting where education happens throughout the waking day—not in classrooms, but through play, life experiences, and meaningful interactions. You’ll be part of a team that sees every moment as a chance to teach and inspire.

Why this role stands out

  • Creative freedom – No classroom constraints. You’ll design engaging, hands-on activities that meet curriculum standards while sparking joy and curiosity.
  • Whole-child focus – Education and care are fully integrated, supported by a multidisciplinary team using positive behaviour support and solution-focused methods.
  • Year-round learning – With 52-week provision, you’ll help children build essential life skills and prepare for adulthood in a truly holistic way.
Your role will include
  • Leading the education and care of a small group of children, supported by a dedicated team.
  • Developing and monitoring personalised learning and care plans.
  • Supporting staff development and contributing to rota planning.
  • Bringing creativity and flexibility to curriculum planning and delivery.
What we’re looking for
  • Experience with children who have severe learning difficulties and autism.
  • Qualified Teacher Status and SEN experience would be essential.
  • Understanding of the National Curriculum and differentiation.
  • A proactive, problem-solving mindset and a passion for inclusive education.
  • Knowledge of PROACT SCIPr-UK® is desirable, but training will be provided.
Working hours

Monday to Friday, 8:30am–4:30pm, plus one Saturday in every 7 to support fun weekend activities. Annual leave can be taken during term time or school holidays, offering flexibility to suit your lifestyle.

What’s on offer
  • Competitive pay (Teacher Pay Scale M1–M6)
  • Funded qualifications and career development support
  • Generous referral scheme
  • Free staff meals on shift
  • On-site parking
  • Discounted gym membership
  • Established wellbeing support
