Job description

SEMH Teacher – Part-time, one half day per week, long-term temporary and ongoing, starting as soon as possible This is an exciting opportunity to join a school where leaders have created a nurturing and inclusive environment that prioritises pupils’ personal development and well-being. Duties as SEMH Teacher:

  • Deliver tailored lessons focused on life skills, independence, and enrichment activities
  • Plan and implement strategies to support pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment
  • Monitor and report on pupil progress and well-being
  • Work collaboratively with support staff and external professionals
  • Uphold safeguarding and school policies at all times

Ideal SEMH Teacher:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Experience teaching pupils with SEMH needs in an educational setting
  • Strong understanding of behaviour management and personalised learning strategies
  • Ability to adapt teaching to promote independence and confidence
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one

Your salary - dependent on experience - is paid weekly through PAYE – that means no self-employed or umbrella companies.
