Job summary

Grade A Recruitment Ltd are seeking an experienced Secondary Teaching Assistant to join a friendly SEMH setting in North Norfolk.

The role involves 1:1 and small-group support for secondary students with SEMH, helping them engage with learning, manage behaviours and emotional regulation, and build resilience. You’ll work closely with teachers and a wider support team to foster confidence and independence.

Qualifications

• Experience working with SEMH, challenging behaviour or additional needs.
• Calm, patient and resilient with young people.
• Ability to build strong relationships with secondary-aged students.

Responsibilities

• Supporting secondary-aged students with SEMH needs.
• Providing 1:1 and small-group support.
• Helping students engage positively with learning.
• Supporting behaviour and emotional regulation.
• Building positive and trusting relationships with students.
• Working closely with teachers and the wider support team.
• Encouraging students to develop confidence, independence and resilience.
