Job Description:

We are looking for a teaching assistant with a passion for helping children and young people with SEN and SEMH needs. The ideal candidate will be qualified and experienced. Newly qualified Level 2 and Level 3 Teaching assistants are welcome to apply.

This is an opportunity based in the S43 region of Chesterfield as a Primary SEMH Teaching Assistant to start ASAP.

Details:

• Location – Chesterfield
• Position – SEMH Primary Teaching Assistant
• Start Date – ASAP
• Duration – Long Term Contract
• Full-time
• Minimum pay rate: GBP 85 per day
• Hours: 8:30 am - 3:30 pm, Monday to Friday (term time only)

Responsibilities:

• Support and scaffold children in the classroom
• Prepare resources with the teacher
• Work effectively with other professionals and parents/carers
• Adapt practice to support the varied needs of children

Experience, Training, and Qualifications:

• At least Level 2 qualified
• GCSE English and Maths grade C or above

To be eligible for this role through Prospero Teaching, you must:

• Hold the Right to Work in the UK
• Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
• Provide two professional child-related references
