A dedicated educational provider is seeking a SEMH Maths Specialist Teacher for a trauma-informed school in Northumberland. The role includes delivering high-quality Maths teaching and supporting students' social and emotional development. Candidates must have a minimum of 3 years’ experience with children or families facing challenges. The position promotes flexible working with term-time hours plus additional days during holidays. Start Date: 5th January 2026
Location: Northumberland
Salary: £120-£170 (depending on qualification and experience)
Contract: Full-time, term‑time plus 3 days during holidays
The school includes an alternative provision offering bespoke academic support through 1:1 and very small group interventions focused on mental health, trauma, and SEN. Behaviour management experience is essential due to the nature of the setting.
The successful candidate will be subject to an enhanced DBS check and references, in line with safeguarding regulations.
