Job summary

Teaching Personnel Ltd. is seeking an experienced LSA/HLTA to join a brand-new SEMH Alternative Provision in Bath. You will support pupils with social, emotional and mental health needs, with low pupil numbers and a supportive, structured environment.

The role involves 1:1 and small-group support, helping pupils re-engage with learning, and building positive relationships. A trial week is planned before joining the Bath provision.

Qualifications

• Experience with SEMH in ALP/PRU or similar settings.
• Ability to support pupils with challenging behaviour.
• Proactive, calm and consistent approach in delivery.

Responsibilities

• Providing 1:1 and small-group support
• Helping pupils re-engage with learning and routines
• Supporting SEMH and behavioural needs
• Building consistent, positive and trusting relationships
• Supporting emotional regulation and de-escalation
• Encouraging pupils to develop confidence, resilience and independence
• Supporting learning inside and outside the classroom
• Taking on HLTA level responsibilities where appropriate
• Working with wider staff for a consistent approach
