Job description

We are working with a specialist school in the Stockport area to recruit an SEMH Teacher, specialising in IT & Creative Media. This is a full-time role with a January 2026 start date.

The role would be focused on supporting students aged 11-18 years, with social, emotional and mental health needs, communication difficulties and mild learning difficulties.

The school is pro-active in ensuring maximum quality of care to its students. Maintaining an innovative and reflective approach, they aim to do the best for every young person that joins the school; with the belief that everyone deserves recognition, respect and is unique.

The ideal SEMH Teacher MUST have:

  • Previous experience teaching within an IT/Creative Media setting
  • Experience of working with SEMH, including supporting students with emotional and behavioural challenges
  • Availability to work 08:30-16:00

It would also be beneficial for applicants to have:

  • Confidence in supporting instances of challenging behaviour
  • Experience in supporting young people in a school or care environment within the UK
  • A positive, nurturing and proactive attitude

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
