A leading education support service is seeking an experienced SEMH HLTA for a full-time position in Enfield. The role involves supporting Year 11 students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs. You'll be responsible for delivering interventions, promoting positive behaviour, and working collaboratively with teaching staff. Qualifications

Full-Time | Term Time Only | Year 11 SEMH Classroom

Are you an experienced SEMH HLTA looking for your next challenge? We're working on behalf of a supportive special school in Enfield seeking a dedicated SEMH HLTA to join their team on a full-time basis during term-time. This role will be based within a Year 11 SEMH classroom, supporting students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs.

As an SEMH HLTA, you will play a vital role in helping students reach their potential through consistent support, structured learning, and emotional guidance.

Key responsibilities
  • Support teaching and learning within a Year 11 SEMH classroom
  • Lead small group and one-to-one interventions for students with SEMH needs
  • Assist in planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons planned by the class teacher
  • Promote positive behaviour management and emotional regulation
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and support staff to create a safe, inclusive environment
  • Contribute to the assessment, progress tracking, and wellbeing of students
Requirements
  • Experience working as an HLTA or similar role within an SEMH or SEND setting
  • Strong understanding of SEMH strategies and behaviour management
  • Resilient, patient, and able to build positive relationships with young people
  • HLTA qualification (or equivalent experience) preferred
