Job summary

A national skills organization is looking for a Self Employment / Business Tutor based in Staffordshire. This role involves working on-site with prison-based learners to improve their business skills and help them achieve their goals. The ideal candidate will have substantial vocational experience and a relevant qualification. Support will be provided for candidates who do not currently hold a teaching qualification. This position offers a salary of £30,000 annually.

Job Title: Self Employment / Business Tutor

The Role

Based on-site at HMYOI Werrington, the Self Employment / Business Tutor will be working with small groups of prison-based learners to develop their skills, business knowledge and behaviours while supporting them with their long-term goals and aspirations.

The Self Employment / Business Tutor ensures that the appropriate training plans are in place and that the advice and guidance is given when required while ensuring they deliver the highest level of quality courses that engage with the learners and help them to reach their potential.

What they are looking for
  • A business qualification, or equivalent
  • An expert in your field with substantial vocational experience
  • Experience of delivering vocational based training
  • A teaching or assessing qualification is desirable
  • Ability to display a wide range of training methods to engage learners

If you don't currently hold a teaching or assessing qualification, we are able to support you through the appropriate qualifications and assessments, as part of your probationary period.
