The Bill Detective is a UK-wide, remote opportunity for self-motivated individuals to join as Authorized Utility Warehouse Partners. This is not employment with The Bill Detective; you will operate as an independent partner supported by Alex Wilson.
You’ll speak with UK households by phone or online, review their current providers, explain options, and build your own client pipeline at your own pace. Income is commission-based and depends on your effort and results.
The Bill Detective is a Glasgow-based service covering the whole UK. It was created by Alex Wilson, an emergency services worker and Authorised Utility Warehouse Partner.
It helps UK households review essential bills, such as energy, broadband, mobile and insurance, to understand whether they're getting a fair deal.
The Bill Detective also supports full-time and shift workers who want to build flexible extra income alongside their existing jobs, without pressure and at their own pace.
The approach is straightforward and personal. There's no sales team or call centre: every conversation is directly with Alex.
Services are delivered remotely across Scotland and the rest of the UK, with free 15-minute consultations available online.
This opportunity is open to UK residents only.
This is a self-employed opportunity to become an Authorised Utility Warehouse Partner. Partners join Utility Warehouse directly as independent, self-employed partners. It is not employment with The Bill Detective. Alex will personally support and mentor you.
Day-to-day activities include speaking with UK households by phone or online calls, gathering information about their current providers, and explainingoptions in clear, accessible language.
You’ll use the tools and training provided to review services, identify potential savings, and guide clients through switching or upgrading where appropriate.
You’ll also build your own flexible pipeline of clients through ethical outreach, networking and referrals, working at your own pace from anywhere in the UK.
This is a remote, self-employed role. It offers autonomy, lets you fit the work around existing commitments, and has the potential to grow your income over time. Income is commission-based and not guaranteed. What you earn depends on your own effort and results.
