Responsibilities
  • Perform duties such as packaging products, running production equipment, performing housekeeping duties, and other duties as required.
  • Operate equipment efficiently and ensure production of high-quality products.
  • Ensure safety and housekeeping are the first requirements in all activities.
  • Knowledge and compliance with all safety rules, model programs, and procedures associated with the Production department.
  • Cooperate and work in a team environment while maintaining consistent attendance.
  • Exercising personal safety, as well as promoting and enforcing safety among crew members.
  • Developing and maintaining good employee morale and working relationships within the department and with other departments at the plant.
  • Assist in the implementation of USG/CGC Model Programs, Safety Rules, VWIs/JSAs and Standard Operating Procedures, as required.
  • Carry out special projects and assignments as directed by Management.
  • Ensure ongoing support for the company's vision of Continuous Improvement (CI) and adherence to the 5S methodology. The candidate must understand and meet the expectation of fully engaging with and contributing to these objectives.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma required.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Hands‑on experience operating production equipment is considered an asset.
  • Able to work flexible hours and all shifts.
  • Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to work as a team.
  • Self‑motivated with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrates ability to adapt to changing business conditions to support the needs of department.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Must be a people and results‑oriented individual who incorporates and emphasizes safety and quality in all aspects of the daily work environment.
Physical Requirements
  • Standing for 80% of your day.
  • Lifting up to 50 lbs.
