Job summary

A charitable organization for community support in Northern Ireland is seeking an Advocacy Support Worker to provide advocacy and advice to vulnerable clients. Successful candidates will have experience managing complex client interactions and building relationships with multiple stakeholders. A relevant degree or equivalent experience is required. Advocacy Support Worker- North Region

Responsibilities
  • Based on the application form content, the role involves providing advocacy and advice to vulnerable clients, engaging in legacy processes, and effectively managing complex client interactions. The candidate should be able to build relationships with multiple stakeholders, prioritise and manage their own workload, communicate effectively with colleagues and management, and report remotely to line management.
Qualifications
  • A relevant University degree, or equivalent qualification plus 1 year’s experience providing advocacy and advice to vulnerable clients engaged in legacy processes.
  • OR 4 years’ experience providing advocacy and advice to vulnerable clients AND a minimum of 2 years practical experience collating information, writing reports, and analysing information, and managing complex client interactions.
  • A minimum of 2 years’ practical experience collating and analysing complex information and writing reports.
  • A minimum of 2 years’ practical experience of effectively managing complex client interactions, and engaging with new clients either in person or on the phone.
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience working and building relationships with multiple stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate experience of prioritising and managing your own workload while also communicating effectively with colleagues and management, while working and reporting remotely to line management.
