Job summary

Middlesbrough College Group is seeking a Security Trainer to deliver accredited security qualifications and support learners toward employment. You will plan engaging lessons, assess learner work, and liaise with employers to enhance progression.

Qualifications

• Relevant Level 3 qualification (or above) within the Security sector.
• Qualified Teacher Status, or willingness to commence an appropriate teaching qualification upon appointment.
• Grade C/4 or above in Maths and English (or equivalent).
• Assessor/Verifier, IQA, SIA Licence or First Aid qualifications would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality training, assessment and support to learners across security, employability and first aid qualifications.
• Plan and deliver engaging lessons and schemes of work that meet awarding body and College quality standards.
• Support learners to overcome barriers, develop employability skills and progress into employment, apprenticeships or further training.
• Assess learner work and maintain accurate records in line with awarding organisation and quality assurance requirements.
• Build effective relationships with employers and industry partners to support learner progression and positive outcomes.
