The Business Resilience Team (BRT) is responsible for health and safety, accessibility, physical security, business continuity management, travel risk management, incident and crisis management. The BRT manages the security of EY’s offices in the UK

The BRT is implementing a strategy with change, innovation, automation and digital transformation at its centre, supporting EY’s ambition to deliver long‑term value to clients, people and society, and the evolution of our Real Estate and Future of Work strategy.

Role Purpose

The Security Technology Manager provides capacity and capability to the Physical Security pillar within the BRT. The role owns the operation, performance, integration and lifecycle of Electronic Security Systems (ESS) across the EY UK portfolio, including the EY Global Security enterprise access control and CCTV platforms (CCURE & Victor).

The postholder is accountable for the successful delivery of multiple, concurrent real estate projects involving the deployment of these systems, ensuring timely completion, adherence to technical standards and seamless coordination between Real Estate, Global Technology, workplace teams, contractors and integrators.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure strict compliance with the EY minimum baseline standard, EY Global security policies and all relevant technical requirements, working closely with local workplace teams at each office.
  • Conduct Threat, Vulnerability and Risk Assessments (TVRA) for new property locations and prepare Operational Requirements (ORs) to inform security system specifications.
  • Lead the development of office security specifications and technical design specifications for security system implementations.
  • Act as a core project team member with the Real Estate team to ensure the smooth delivery and handover of new and refurbished offices, including:
    • System specification
    • Oversight and tracking of installation and commissioning by the appointed integrator
    • System configuration in line with the rest of the UK estate
  • Oversee project milestones across multiple concurrent projects to guarantee on‑time delivery and uphold quality benchmarks.
  • Provide on‑site oversight of security system installations, ensuring works are executed to the highest standard and in accordance with project specifications, and proactively resolving issues to minimise disruption.
  • Plan and deliver system upgrades, migrations and expansion projects in collaboration with internal stakeholders, vendors and appointed integrators.

  • Lead the ESS element of security tenders and the Request for Proposal (RFP) process for CCURE & Victor systems, including specification and RFP writing, vendor engagement, proposal assessment, commercial and pricing evaluation, and vendor selection.
  • Manage the third‑party systems integrator to ensure KPIs are captured and SLAs and maintenance requirements are met.
4. Platform Administration & Operations
  • Supervise configuration, monitor system health and manage the lifecycle of ESS deployed across the estate.
  • Perform regular system audits, diagnose technical issues and implement firmware or software updates to minimise operational disruption.
  • Lead the integration of CCURE 9000 with Victor/VideoEdge and other third‑party security solutions to ensure cohesive interoperability and efficient data flow.
  • Be the primary point of contact for internal departments to manage the impact on ESS of power shutdowns, server upgrades, asset replacement and IT change activity.
  • Act as service owner for designated electronic security platforms, defining support, escalation and service recovery arrangements.
  • Lead the technical response to significant ESS failures and coordinate incident resolution, root‑cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Support disaster recovery, backup, restoration and business continuity arrangements for critical security systems.
  • Establish clear escalation paths between internal technology teams, workplace teams, vendors and systems integrators.

  • Oversee administration of Windows Server environments and Active Directory to support secure, reliable system operation and user access management.
  • Work with other departments to ensure cyber security hardening measures and best practices are applied on every platform, reviewing configurations to reduce vulnerabilities and address emerging threats.
  • Ensure full compliance with GDPR and other relevant data protection regulations across all data handling and system operations.
8. Data, Reporting & Documentation
